NY Care Information Gateway is being built by providers within New York City, Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Because of this, it is particularly attentive to the unique needs of patients and providers within our own community. It is also coordinating with regional health information organizations (RHIOs) like ours, throughout the state to promote interoperability; that is, building compatible technology across RHIOs so that patients’ health information can follow them wherever and whenever they seek medical treatment in New York State.
